I bought a table, bench and four chairs form a certain range of garden furniture in Habitat last year. The chairs have all cracked at a certain joint in wood. These chairs are no longer available.
Habitat have offered to refund only the cost of the chairs, as the set was not sold as one set, but as individual components, and the table and bench are not defective. If I take them up on this, the new chairs I buy will not match table and bench, but they will not refund on the entire set.
Do i have any comeback under consumer law??
Any advice will be appreciated.
PS If anybody has copy of 2007 Habitat catalogue, it may be helpful in my dealings with them!!
