Problem with Dell Inspiron Screen

Been having a problem with my Dell Inspiron screen for the last few days. Basically sometimes when the system does something, the screen starts flashing on and off and back diagonal lines appear. It clears itself after a while but want to sort it before it gets any worse.

Does anyone have any idea what it is. I have checked the Dell website but they seem to only recommend installing drivers.

ring up tech support. it could be a h/w issue. They'll talk you through updating the bios and drivers first though, so if you've not done that yet, do so in order to save time on the phone. Also may be worth running the diags disk you got with the laptop

Agree - call them. How long do you have the PC & did you get any extended warranty?

They have a set up now, where if you agree, the techie can log onto your PC & they do all the work!! It's great.

Thanks for that. Updated drivers etc. last night so will see how it goes.
