We own a 3 bed duplex , in a 3 storey building – we own the ground and 1st floors. The property was built in 2003.
Problem
We are having problems with rain coming in through the patio door (PVC)- rain comes inside via the recess and floods the floor.
There is also a very strong draft coming in from it too.
The same is happening from the recess above our bedroom window (1st floor) - causing large pools of water and mould around the window frame.
There is also mould on all the other windows.
Our management company says they wont look at the problem until we provide them with an engineer’s report?
So, is the management company correct? If so – who does reports like these.
What about the 10 year homebond?
I'm not very good approaching people in situations like this, therefore all advice is welcomed as how best to resolve the problem.
