Probate granted - what is the next step?

My father will has finally got granted probate. What is the next step? The executor has delayed probate for as long as they could so im wondering when this will finally be over. I am waiting for the family farm to get sorted out.

Hello. I am still waiting for heard anything from the executor. Is there anyway i can check if the tax clearance cert has been obtained.

Unfortunately the executor is telling me they are waiting for the solicitor to get back to them since march.

Ask the executor.

As you feel they are delaying perhaps ask in writing and c.c. to the solicitor.

I tried asking and email the solicitor. The solicitor didn't answer. Looks like I'll just have to wait a bit longer.

Unfortunately, the executor is the only one who can give you the information.

The solicitor, correctly, only communicates with the executor

In what way did the executor delay probate. Have you inherited the family farm, if yes are you currently farming it, if yes then just relax.

Solicitor will normally only deal with the Executor. 4 months does seem long but if land and farms are involved, it may take longer then normal
