If someone knows the answer to this or can give me a steer on it I would be grateful.
My question is how to catagorise non-Irish shares (e.g. French or German company) held by the deceased via a nominee account with a stockbroker. Are they "foreign" assets or Irish assets for CA 24 purposes given that the legal title in the share is held by the stockbroker.
The stockbroker just needs an Irish grant of probate to release the funds and I don't want to get involved with foreign grants if its not necessary.
