Whenever FF and the PD's sort out their ideological diffrerences over privatisation of some bus routes. AFAIK right now Dublin Bus are not getting approval for anywhere near the number of new buses they need to service newly expanding areas as the Government are blocking them until they can agree something.

Just to update on this point [broken link removed] it seems FF & the PD's are still locked in their ideological battle over privatisation of the bus service while in the meantime commuters suffer. New buses is the easiest & quickest way to add public transport capacity to these new estates and nothing happens while they go about posturing.

Disclosure: I have bought in a new estate so I have an interest in possible new bus routes to serve it better.
