Can anyone tell me if there are any sites where you can purchase property in Tenerife and deal direct with the owners other than going through an estate agent, thanks in advance.

On the posts in Tenerife, Im surprised to see not many people invest there. I have a place there.

[broken link removed]

Before anbyone says I'm trying to advertise here, look at the availability calender on my site, I'm doing just fine with the advertising I have. Its on average £230 a week with about 40 weeks a year. I'm on my way to buying another.
Also there is appreciation still in Tenerife as its a different type of market to spain. There has been a stop on new planning permission for 5 years now and 2 years extra have been added on top of that.

I got my place for €172,000 and a 75% mortgage and thats covered plus some.

Do I have an angle, yes. I'm moving there and as well as managing my own I'd love to have 5 or 6 more to manage. I think I can keep most apartments full 40 weeks of the year(well as long as its not a dump) by using the same process the company that manages mine does(I do my own ads and they clean, manage etc, no worries) This way I cant be conned as I can send people last minute and catch them out. They also contact me regularly and book people in when I'm empty but at a reduced rate to me so they can make money, but when they do that I have no cleaning fees.

Also I can use it when ever I want.

Anyhow if anyone needs info even if I dont manage it, I'd be glad to help.

Just PM me on here.

Tenerife is as safe a place as you could get to invest. I purchased in Roque del Conde, Torviscas Alto.(included stunning sea views) Where do you go if you want to be sure of sunshine between Nov/May. It is predicted property will increase 10% this year. The new Siam park (the biggest water/wildlife park in europe) is due to open October this i believe will have a positive effect on property prices

Best of luck

Consider applying for a spanish mortgage if you are going down the mortgage route. article on this in the times on sunday

Update for anyone that might be interested, Ryanair will now be flying to Tenerife South Airport from Oct this year.

Update for anyone that might be interested, Ryanair will now be flying to Tenerife South Airport from Oct this year.

Instead of TFN? I amflying to TFN in 2008 and have booked an apartment close to TFN?

Only with Ryanair do you book to go to the sceondary airport and end up going to the major airport. Although on the Ryanair website they are advertising TFN and TFS from Shannon, I don't know what the story is.

ainsie its october 2007 (from the 14th) delighted they are doing it but raging as had booked tenerife s with aerlingus for december now ryanair are going its actually half the price! 90 return as opposed to 180! what can you do.

should add we did went in june with ryanair to tenerife north and got a taxi down south. found a fab 4 star hotel 33 euro a night half board - La Siesta hotel very impressed that's why we are heading back

It does seem strange , as I tried to book a flight and it wont let me.

Thanks PC I spotted my mistake, I meant 2007.

"that's why we are heading back "

Love the place, thats why I'm moving there.

Whats Puerto De La Cruz like does anybody know? As I am now going to TFS (just reviewed my booking there) I might stay somewhere in the south instead.

Porto De La Cruz is on the north west I think. It is a bit of a pain to get to from the south. Depends what you want in the South. Los Cristianos is my fav but that whole section there is very touristy. If you want to get away from it slightly, go to Los Gigantes or maybe las Gallates.

Los Cristionos though is nice a quiet and a very good base for exploring the rest of the island.
