My 6 year old lap top is kaput. I think it was "XP"
I have invested in an ACER laptop "Windows 7"

I print a lot of photographs on "Epson PHOTO 340"
My "EPSON STYLUS-PHOTO R340-Softwear CD-ROM, which worked perfectly on the old lap top, is not loading properly. There is a message of incompatability.

It appears to load but will not offer me, for instance, the facility to print an A5 photo. The "enhance button" is there but not lit up.

Do I need to but a new "softwear cd rom" to suit Windows 7 and the printer I have?
I have spent so much time on this problem, its a good job I'm retired.

Hoagy-you are a star. 10 out of 10.

Herself spent a lot of time but got it going. The A5 photos are back and the ENHANCE button is working.
I had bought drivers from 2 American firms, I will try and get a refund.

Have you the patience to read further?

I have a Canon G6 camera and to day I decided, with the printer working I would download all the photographs on the card. We have already put ZOOMBROWSER on Windows 7, we have the disk over 5 years.
When I clicked on download, the message I got was that ZOOMBROWSER is also incompatible.
Herself took away the ZOOMBROWSER programme on Windows 7 and went into Canon drivers. She said there are so many!!!!
Can you steer us in the right direction again?

I will make a contribution of €20 to Ask about Money.
Many thanks,
Liamog.

I think Canon have just sorted this out, it's been a problem since Windows 7 was released.

Have a look here.

My wife sends a big hug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are a genius.
The photos all downloaded perfectly.
All is right with the world.

I'm a dreadful golfer-can you help?

Liamog.

Hoagy, a chara,
