Primary Social Welfare rates to be maintained. some cuts

Not reducing any primary social welfare rate

all pensioners, all jobseekers ,

No change to rate or duration of fuel allowance.
 
Jobseekers Benefit to be cut by 3 months to 9 months

Household benefit package to be reduced - telephone and electricity
 
Child Benefit cut by €10 per child.

Additional funding for Child care places and Early childhood supports in disadvantaged areas to compensate.

The household benefit changes apply to everyone, both new and existing customers
 
The changes to jobseeker's Benefit comes in from April 3rd.

There are some savers mentioned in the Department's factsheet, which I linked to in another thread

These measures come into effect on April 3rd 2013. Claimants getting Jobseeker's Benefit for 6 months or more (or 3 months in the case of those with less than 260 contributions paid) on April 3rd will not be affected.
