Does anybody know what’s the best way to try and calculate the material cost only, of building a house. I hope to use poroton so I have the obvious things like walls, rafters slates plastering materials etc covered but I know I’m probably missing out a whole lot of stuff. I phoned a local quantity surveyor and the only service he was interested in providing was a price per square foot for a conventional double leaf cavity build. What he said I’m looking for is a ‘materials take off’ on the project but he didn’t know exactly who would provide this service. Any ideas???
