Price of fitting TRVs to rads

Hi
I am trying to improve the efficiency of my gas heating system and am considering having TRVs fitted to the rads. I had a BGais engineer in the house today servicing the boiler and asked him how much it would cost. He said roughly about €100 per rad (I have 13 rads). Is €1300 silly money or what is to be expected for this job.

My original reply got lost for some reason, anyway I was going to say that the estimate is ridiculous and I would say a ball park figure of €50 per rad would be more realistic.

It can be a messy job if the refilling of your system runs into snags. €100 per rad is a crazy quote. TRV's cost 15 to 25 euro. If you found a plumber willing to do it he would probably charge you a day rate of between €250 and €350 euro. It could be done in a morning (3 - 4 hours)
