Price for plans for new build

My sister has her own site and has been given a verbal agreement re planning permission(lives in County Meath). She doesn't have very much money but hopes to sell her current house to fund the new build of approx 1100sq.ft. She wants something quite simple and small as she lives alone. She has now to submit plans and find a builder. Two questions, any idea how much she will need to budget for a) drawing of plans for the 1100 sq foot build and b) how much a builder would change for such a build.

There's a thousand questions to be answered before someone could give you a price on that. However, some people want a starting point so €150 per sq ft for a simple build.

When you have the plans drawn up you can get a quantity surveyor to do a price for you. Best €500 you will spend in building your own house.

This gives you a complete list of how many bricks, doors, windows, everything that are needed to build the house and a price based on market rates. You can then compare this with a builders quote.
