Hi

In a previous employment circa 2007 I had a pension set up by my employers but I never contributed to it but they did. I cant remember now what the terms of this agreement was i.e if I left before a certain time the pension would not be transferable

I cannot locate any documentation about this and I have contacted them but they have not come back to me
I also contacted several pension companies asking if they held any pension in my name ( i gave name address & PPS #)
One pension fund did reply and said that i would have to contact the broker (this is actually the previous employer as they were also pension brokers)

I am trying to figure out how I can establish if this fund is transferable to me or is it now defunct
The value would not be very large as i think it was operational for a period between 12-24mths before I left, bu t am setting up a pension now and if this was already there it would be easier to start contributing to it

Any advice or pointers as to how I can figure out where to get the information

Thanks in advance

If they won't provide you with information on your pension, report them to The Pensions Authority. They take a very dim view of that kind of thing.
