Prepayment Meters ,do I have to use

In relation to a gas meter been installed to a house does this mean the only way you can get gas is by using the gas meter? or can you get gas the the normal way .reason is the house has tennants who left and they where using the gas meter so I went to change over account to myself but then gas would not work,so I rang gas company and they said it is a gas card meter operation,
Just the hassel of having to get a card etc is annoying, thanks

I would try and get a normal credit meter installed and as soon as possible I would switch to Flogas.

Thanks Theresa this maybe the same meter as your link but in the dark hard to say for sure, but the question I asked do I need a card to access gas, thanks
