I had a small number of shares in a British company let to me, worth just over £5000. Unfortunately the share cert has gone missing and the solicitor who is dealing with it has gotten a (single) quote from a UK insurer for £105 for counter-signing an indemnity.

Could anyone tell me does this amount sound right/too much/too little?

I have asked has he any other quotes - I presume this isn't a service which is unique to one insurance company?

TIA
