Pregnant and redundancy

More of a hypothetical question but it might be on my cards.

Say an employee was pregnant and a company was making people redundant in 3 months time, you are given the date today.

What if you are say 5 months P now could you put in for Maternity Leave before your job end date? could you get your Mat pay and Redundancy pay?

You are entitled to maternity benefit based on the previous years PRSI contributions (min required 39Weeks for PRSI class A).

If you are made redundant before you start maternity leave and you are entitled to redundancy, you will receive redundancy payment and your application for maternity benefit will still apply.

If you are made redundant while on maternity leave you will be entitled to receive the balance of maternity benefit/leave AND any redundancy payment that you are entitled to.
