pre-paid cash cards - spending history?

E.g. prepaid Mastercard; Payzone cash card; O2 cashcards...

Can lending/banking institutions find details of spending habits on these types of cards?!

You don't need a bank account or need to offer bank details to have one, but you do have to supply your national ID number or passport number...

My query is in relation to someone with an online betting account (not used too fequently, just big matches/ games etc but doesn't want to go to bookie shops etc).

Obviously using your bank cards/ account details to top up your online betting account is not great because your betting transactions appear in your banking history.

I heard that banks won't entertain loan applicants who show this type of spending history as it rings alarm bells, which is undestandable.

Is the use of cashcards traceable or something which is looked at by the banks?

thanks
