Powerwashing your house...

I bought a Karcher Powerwasher the other day. Did all my concrete paving around the gaff. The patio, the PVC windows, the lot. Took 6 hours.

The house is looking like new. There is a fresh feel to the whole extrerior.

It's only when you get a power washer to the concrete do you realise how mucky it was. It should be a bright grey! Have a look tomorrow, if it's dark grey, green or black - it needs work.

Anyone else got one?

PS: I am not affliliated to Karcher

Power washers will remove dirt and grime all right but they should be used with caution- they are very aggresive in their action and you can actually damage concrete and tarmac driveways with over zealous use! Detergent and water is still the best cleaning treatment for PVC soffits, windows and glazing.

your clean concrete will be dark and mossy again in a few weeks and you will soon tire of 6 hour power washing stints!

Actually I find them very ...empowering?

But Carpenter's right — go easy, especially on the windows, unless you fancy having to replace all the seals!
