Hi all.
thinking of buying a power boat... a bayliner cruiser  perhaps.
My question is, are these boats allowed on galway bay and the corrib. Havnt seen any on galway bay so not to sure if they are.
Also can anybody recommend a good dealer.

Any advice would be great.
Thanks
B

Re: where can a boat float?

who's going to stop you going where you want ,didn't think there was much restrictions once the boat was seaworthy .not as if theres a garda boat or navy boat around every bend ;) if it was jet skis maybe theres by laws .

I keep a Bayliner on Lough Corrib. There are no restrictions on the lake,
however there are speed limits on the River Corrib - that's from where
the lake joins the river at the Friar's cut down to Galway City.
You must respect the rowers and not create a dangerous wake that
might cause them to capsize. Lough Corrib is navigable from Galway City
to Máam Bridge, marked the red/white and black marks.
Power boats must give way/show courtesy to anglers and yachts.
Bob Wilson (trading as BW Boats/Naas) has a fine range of
Bayliner-type craft.
