Hi,

Have a deposit on a house, and hope to close the deal in the next week. However, all the information on the brochures state the property is at a particular postal address.
However, was at the county council premises and it states that the development land are at a different address.

How can one confirm the correct postal address of a property?
Can this be different from the address on the planning application?
 
That sounds fishy.Check also with An Post,the local postoffice.They should have a register of adresses.
 
Where abouts is this development. Might be the same one i'm thinking about?

A friend of mine got 'caught' like this. They put a more desirable address on the development to sell the houses.

When he moved into his house he found out his postal address was not the address on the contract. The postman refused to deliver mail to the 'contract address' as it was not in his area. So, mail sent to this address gets rerouted through somewhere else which takes twice as long.
