Post after Christmas

Does anyone know when post offices reopen after Christmas? I need to send something urgently by swiftpost.

At a guess, I'd say the 28th ?

- perhaps the GPO may open 27th though, given its the central post office and they won't want tourists moaning about how crap An Post are when they return to their native lands

Thanks Garrettod. I'm on the wrong side of the country for the GPO, so I'll post it on Wednesday and hope for the best.

On a related subject ... I sent a parcel on the 23rd of December by swiftpost and it still hasn't arrived ... can I get my money back?

I'd say Yes,

Assuming you were sending the item somewhere which was easily accessable by An Post and would not typically take 7 days etc.

I've noticed regularly, with people sending things via Swift Post that they take a minimum of 2 days to deliver, regardless of the destination & point of origin ... bit of a scam imho... we've often tested it in comparison to Registered Post & found the registered item gets to the destination quicker !

Give 'em hell is my view
