Aldi are sell a 160 gb Portable external harddrive today.Speed 5400rpm 2mb cache and a transfer rate of 480 mbit/s usb 2.
Ok no idea about speeds and transfer rates. Are these rates good the divice is 89euro is it worth the cash.

Depends on your needs. If you need a portable one, ie, powered from usb when no mains socket available, then sure, its ok. Otherwise you can get 3-400gb powered (needs power from mains) for around 100e if you look around hence making 160gb bad value. Dont worry about the cache and RPMs, theyre fine.
