I used the tunnel last night to see how mucj it would cut off my journey home from Sndyford to Santry.
For a "mere" 1.60e I used the east link and for 12e the tunnel !!!!!
I left Sandyford at 6.30 and was home at 7. I have never done that journey that fast using the M50 at a similar time. It was amazing!
Main problem aside from the hefty cost is that it does not take eazy pass.
Its fine that its a different sytem and operator but why oh why for 1bil and 10 years of planning etc etc could they not have worked some practical and simple system wherby one collects for the other using the EP?
At the w/e I also had to pay cash gtoing the rough the toll on the M4 so am i meant to have 3 different zappers to cover all my travels??
Only in Ireland I feel....am I wrong?
