polo screeching

I bought a 99 1.4 polo two months ago the back right wheel seems to screech on and off but is really bad in wet weather on occasion im begging for help coz nobody seems to be able to find the problem. it just passed the nct in march ????

Could be brakes or a wheel bearing maybe?

the brakes are working fine got the pads etc checked just put new bearing on the other side but the right is fine im outta ideas. thanks for your reply

are your shure it's the wheel? Jack up the wheel turn same like mad you may be able to detect problem.Sometimes intermiting screeching can be caused by a loose fan belt or the water pump.There are plenty of polo maintence/troubleshooting forums on the web, google is a good place to start.best of luck.

thanks for your advice will do straight away i have to say this is a great forum. would it be the fan belt or water pump coz the noise is def coming from the back
