Polo 2001 -2.5k - good idea?

I just want a little run around...saw 1 litre VW polo, 80,000miles on the clock for 2.5k but it's 2001....is a car this old asking for problem?

Unfortunately. with a used car you can never ever predict what will happen! It s up to you to decide if you are willing to take the chance.
My first car was a polo 1 L and everything on that car went wrong (last straw was when the clutch went) My Best friend bought a 2000 polo a few years back and has never had any trouble with her car so you can never tell....!
2.5 k for a 2001 @ 80 000 miles sounds too much to me though.

I too would think 2.5k is way too high for the car. If you know the car or owner then that might make the price more acceptable.
