Point Hotel - Edinburgh

Am looking for a hotel for Hogmanay this year in Edinburgh and I have done a search on this forum and read every thread.

My query is 'has anyone stayed in this hotel recently and if so what did they think?'

It is supposed to be trendy but it is a bit of a kip

Would recommend Novotel, clean and new

Either of the Apex (European and International) hotels are good in Edinburgh and you can often get good value deals on their website http://www.apexhotels.co.uk/

I stayed in 2004. It wasn't great but my experience is possibly out of date

However it looks like from Tripadvisor that they have refurbished since that and most reviews are positive
It is in a great location near the castle and the grassmarket
