Just wondering what houses are actually selling for nowadays. (Auctions aside, where the sale prices are published in the local newspapers.)
To start the ball rolling, a friend of mine sold a modern 3-bed semi in a very good part of Knocknacarra, Galway for €193,000. Similar houses are typically asking for €225,000 some of which seem to be selling, but for what price?
A cousin of mine sold a modern three-bed semi in only an ok part of Tuam town for €75,000, all contents included. Similar properties are asking for €135,000 upwards but not selling at all.
A modern rural property 17 miles west of Galway City sold for 260,000. Asking price was about €275,000 (down from €400,000).
