Playstation 3 - opening emails

I can connect to my email account using my ps3 console but cannot open messages to read them.

Can emails be read using the ps3?

How are you trying to open them?

Is it webmail etc?

I try to open my emails using my hotmail account. I can get to the page where you ave your list of emails. But when I want to open either a read or unread message nothing happens. The cursor does change to the hand signal when you hover over the message. I use the ps3game control for this, maybe i need the keypad.

I think that Hotmail is a bit 'special'.

It might be easiest setting up a yahoo account and loading your hotmail accounts into that.

I had problems with Hotmail, I think it is something to do with their cookies / security.

PS3 browser isn't a full blown web browser. Hotmail is probably using something more than the supported basic features.
