Can't answer your question but do know its near Papagoya beach which is nice, also the ferry leaves for here to Fuerteventura so if you have a car hired it's worth taking a trip over there for a night. It's down the south of Lanzarote.
You will have to see Timanfaya volcano park ( 30 mins from Playa Blanca) if you haven't already seen it, and do take the bus tour there, it is amazing.
Stayed in the Princesa Yaiza recently. Wasn't a big fan of the food (very overpriced) and the entertainment was definitely aimed at the blue-rinse crowd.
Got some really nice food in the new marina a couple of nights - there are some lovely restaurants there. Also try the Cafe del Mar bar - music is excellent as are the cocktails.
