Plastic found in soup

Hi,
I found some plastic (about square inch) in a soup container as I was eating it today......should I return to the store (well known large supermarket) and complain?

Having read i'm moreso wondering about them needing to throw out soups from same batch rather than refunding me, though I assume they would.

Anyone suggest best course of action?

Or call the producer of the product. With a nice but warning letter, you should receive a little gift or reparation
But indeed, that is a case for the Food Safety...
