Anyone know what the process is called whereby plants lean to face the sunlight? Photo-something-or-other.

Phototropic is the tendency for plants to grow towards the light source.

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants synthesis food from light and Carbon dioxide.

And Geotropic is the tendancy for the roots of plants to grow downwards.

Don't mind me, I am just trying to get to the magic 50 posts so that I can have a rant

Yeah - phototropism.

You can put plants on a slowly revolving turntable in order to have them grow straight if you're so inclined (no pun intended).
