Dear All,

We are in for planning permission for the past two years. We have received two previous futher information requests for Kildare County Council.
The planning is due for decision this Sunday. This Friday the decision was made and we received a phone call for them saying they want to hand delivering a letter to us on Friday ! This letter never arrived on Friday and it did not arrive today.
My question is do they have a timeline to deliver this letter? On the website they want again further information.

I'm puzzled as to why they would want to hand deliver the letter...perhaps the site is zoned A3 or similar and requests that you are local to the area - maybe they doubt that you are living where you say you are? Why else would they hand deliver - they normally send the letter by registered post/recorded delivery.

They hand deliver in situations where there would not be sufficient time to send by other means - this way (assuming they actually deliver it) they can be sure that they are within the statutory timescales.

Thanks for your replies they delivered the letter at 1700 on Sunday and within time. Again it was further information for the third time.
