Some private allotments were set up recently near me, which initially I did not have any major objection to. However three huge polytunnels have now gone up and they are now looking to expand the system to over 40 allotments.
Location wise, it is on a laneway which has about 20 houses and is starting to cause problems with neighbours due to a large number of cars & the high speed they drive up and down (below 50km but totally unsuitable for a narrow lane with children & pets roaming freely)
I understand that generally this is an exempted development, but at some stage due to size does it become a commercial development requiring planning permission?
