Plagued by "chat" robots

Keep getting 'chat" messages from robots on MSN instant messenger along the lines of ...." Hi Ancutza, can't seem to upload my photos, blah, blah. Hit me up on, blah, blah.."

Haven't visited any dodgy sites that I'm aware of and needless-to-say won't reply as to do so would only validate the address. However it's getting REALLY tiresome. I'm averaging one of these messages around every half hour at the moment. Yesterday I came home from work and had to close no less than 15 chat windows.

This has only started in the last few days after 10 years of peaceful internet use!

Anyone got any solutions? :(
 
That's the drastic solution alright! I've been using gmail messaging more recently but I'd still like the option of MSN without being bothered by this carry-on.
 
Well a beer is a change from being berated for posting a Google search link! :)
