Hey

Have done all the below

Galway, Cork, Kilkenny, Aran Islands, Wexford, Belfast,Castlebar, Dingle, Kinsale, Kenmare, Doolin,to name a few

Looking for some different or somewhere unique for a couple

Anyone got any ideas ?

Thx

How about Waterford ? You have the beaches (Dunmore East fishing village), the mountains, the city with great bars & restaurants , great shopping ...

Check out this link for s/c lighthouses, lodges, period houses, castles etc.

I love going to Kerry - stay away from Killarney town though - far too much diddley-i music, aran jumpers and Americans IMO! What about Parknasilla, Sheen Falls, Aghadoe Heights (although in Killarney FAB spa) or Ard na Sidhe.
[broken link removed]

Or Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa - use as your base and travel around West Cork to Glandore, Union Hall, Schull....

Another good link...

What about Donegal? Gaobh Dobhair for example is lovely and you could take a trip out to Tory Island. Or how about Sligo?

www.irelandnorthwest.ie - came across this on Google while looking for Teach Jack, which is where I stayed in Gaobh Dobhair a good few years ago.

Checked out their website and Dunmore seems to be looking good not to far to drive either.

Thx

Dunmore East is lovely, stayed there for a few days about 3 years ago, plenty of things to do, nightlife quite good. Really nice beach too.

Presume it's still open and if so, you HAVE to go to The Ship Restaurant - fabulous!

Northern Ireland: coastline, mountains, cities, great people and lots of things to see and do.

I'd heartily recommend Mayo! In particular the beautiful town of Westport. Then a drive out to Leenane via Murrisk (Croagh Patrick), Louisburgh (numerous sandy beaches) and Doo Lough. An amazing drive with spectacular scenery!

Alternatively head the opposite direction out of Westport towards Achill, via Newport and Mulranny. Again very spectacular scenery.
