Phone + Sim?

I'm getting a new Phone soon, The price of it is lower in a vodephone shop than a meteor shop.
I was wondering can i get the phone in a Vodephone shop and use my meteor sim i have now?
Or do i have to get it in a meteor shop?

If you buy from a vodafone shop then the phone will be 'locked' to their network and won't work on any other network unless you get it 'unlocked'

Network won't give you the unlock code unless you have been using the phone for about 12 months. There are other ways of unlocking it but can be complicated.
