Philips TV remote

I have a 21" Philips TV which the remote is broken for. The tv is about 5 or 6 years old but in good condition.
I want to use it in my bedroom but cannot find a remote anywhere which will allow me to tune it. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a universal remote for it not to work.
I have a model number but no idea how to find a remote. Any help would be much appreciated.

have you checked the one for all remotes ? I also bought a philips remote in tesco a couple of months back, a multi device learning remote. Crap remote, dont use it anymore, but I do remember it was able to get the menu buttons of a lot of tv's, unlike some of the other multifunction remotes.

Philips do a generic remote for about €20
Other than that original remotes can generally be ordered through tv repair centres but the are pricey...expect to pay at least €40

Have you tried using remote for different tv, sometimes they work. Also, not being funny, if there is a recycling centre near you go down and check it out.

Often bits like that are being dumped but in perfect working order.

Have few different tv in this house and you would be surprised which work on what!
