Philips Sonicare toothbrushes

Has anybody used one of these? Are they any good?

In what way are they different from normal electric toothbrushes?

They're selling in Argos from EU110 up to EU200. Can they be bought cheaper anywhere?

We paid 250 for ours in Boots. Used to have electric toothbrush and I have to say we find the sonic much better. Can't really explain the difference something to do with the vibration removing plaque. Anyway the effect is

apparently the sonor toothbrush resonates at the same frequency as plaque.
Therefore making it much easier to break up and get rid of it.
