I want to connect a portable Dvd player (Philips PET 710) to a television. What cables do I Need
 
I have a PET700 and it came with the cable.

There is a socket on the PET700, clearly labelled. The socket is similar to but bigger than a headphone socket. The cable has a complementary jack at one end and the usual AV red/yellow/white plugs at the other. If your TV cannot take these, but takes SCART, an electrical shop will sell you a cable jack adapter.
