I know the debate will rattle on forever about darts being a sports event, but did anyone see Phil 'The Power' Taylor in the Premier League Darts final on Sky yesterday. Taylor, who beat James Wade 10-8 in the final to take the £125,000 first prize, became the first player in history to hit two nine-darters in one match. Superb!!!!!!!

Sid Waddell annoys me with his commentary but without a doubt Phil Taylor is a world class sportsman.
The mental agility required to consistantly get darts into the treble 20 slot and then finish on a double is amazing and he has mastered his art.
He has been winning world championships from when winning it meant you got peanuts as prize money.. At least he is being properly rewarded for his talents now.

The game of Darts seems to be growing from a pub sport to an arena sport/TV sport.. And the money is following with SKY involvement. He deserves every penny he is getting.
