No there is no GSD on Lodgment Books. They are just personalised giro forms found in any branch at the counter. The medallion stamp duty only applies to cheques.
It's the MSD ( Medallion Stamp Duty) of 50c you are paying for on cheques. It's that little harp on the corner of your chq.
The banks do not charge for the personalised lodgement book that is sent out to you. It's more convenient for their systems as the numbers on the bottom will scan into their computer.
