hi folks

I recently had a relatively bad fall whilst out running along a dublin street, i tripped over a rough patch of ground where works had been completed previously. im aware of the duty of care on pedestrians on public roadways but is there a minimum depth or obstruction before you can proceed to making a compensation claim. I genuinely tripped because the ground was uneven . In the UK the trip hazard has to be at least one inch in depth. but not sure same rule applies for Ireland

I wonder if the City Council have the same duty of care to runners as opposed to walkers?

Look up misfeasance and non-feasance.
