Our Management Company has a massive cash deficit due to unpaid fees. We reletively recently appointed a new amanagement agent who have made some headway into recovering some outstanding fees and are currently persuing others through the courts.
A lenient and fair payment option has been given to all shareholders to catch up on their debts including not charging any fees this year at all in the hope of collecting enough outstanding debt to cover this year's services.
The Management Agent has recently suggested the introduction of a Permit Parking System controlled by NCPS or similar. Not that we have any major issues with parking in the estate but more so as a mechanism of ensuring fees are paid. i.e. You make no effort to pay your fees - you get no parking permit - you get clamped - you pay €150 each time you get clamped.
As the majority of the non-payers are Landlords and not owner occupiers, it will be their tenants who suffer the consequences.
Whilst I actually agree with the idea in priciple (will have to be passed at the AGM), I just wonder what peoples thoughts are on this?
