Hi, is it legal for the company to force all permanent employees to sign new temporary contracts with basically all benefits gone? also they want to offer some money for all permanent years.
 
Sounds like they envisage redundancies down the line and want to cut their (future) bill.

I would be extremely reluctant to sign. There are Employee Rights organisations out there who should be consulted before signing anything. In fact, I'd advise you giving your colleagues the same bit of advice - strength in numbers, and all that.
