Hi, Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this subject, If someone in temporary employment is a few weeks away from 2 years service are they entitled to a permanent contract once they have served that 2 years, Is it law or do companies differ, Thanks for any help.

By law you become de facto permanent after four years not two. The significance of two years service is that you become entitled to statutory redundancy.

Thanks for clearing that up for a person who along with me had no idea how that system works Shesells, Much appreciated.
