Period house - Survey?

We went sale agreed on a Victorian period house a couple of weeks ago.

Our architect reviewed it before offers and said he had no major concerns but recommended that we have an engineer look at a couple of cracks

We are planning to get an full engineering survey done by an engineer but also wondering if in addition we should get a survey done by a surveyor? Or would it be a duplication. We have budgeted replacing the entire heating system and re-wiring?

Also, do the banks require a structural survey for period houses before lending? If (repairable) issues come up, this wouldn't roadblock a mortgage? right? As long as it is habitable?
