Pentax K200D

I've just bought a Pentax K200D - my first time to have anything other than a compact camera. I was a bit put off by the weight of it but willing to accept it. However, I have a BIG problem with the viewfinder. I use reading glasses & distance glasses and haven't yet ventured into the varifocals! So I found the use of the viewfinder - despite the diopter adjustment - extremely cumbersome. And, like many people on the net, I can't understand why they can't use the big monitor. However, I believe "Live View" is on the way for us "upgraders". While it's on its way, does anybody have any suggestions for a compact camera that has the regular "Live View" and that is almost as good as a DSLR?
