Pensions and Tax Relief

If you pay into a private pension fund are you entitled to tax relief on that or is it only on work related ones/avc?


If you are entitled to tax relief what forms should I fill out?


Also, in a nutshell, what are you entitled to claim for as a paye worker... are refuse collections, mortgage relief and trade union subs all you can claim.

You need to fill up a tax return at the end of the tax year and the revenue will refund you depending of your tax band either 24% or 42%.
however I don't know how you get the 6%PRSI contribution back unless it is already included in the refund from the revenue but I doubt, if someone know, thanks for posting it.
