I understand there can be difficulties transferring pensions from Ireland to Australia. This is because some OZ pensions give you access to a portion of the cash before retirement age and this would be against the Irish Revenue transfer rules. Anyone have any advice?
Is there a type of Oz pension that does comply with the Irish Revenue rules?
Just in case anyone has a similar query, I got some help on this issue from a very good company in South Australia called Exfin (www.exfin.com). Basically he is aware of a number of successful transfers from Ireland so there doesn't seem to be a problem at this time.
