I finished with an employer a few years ago. They have decided to terminate their occupational pension scheme (was DB, and they're moving to DC). As a result, I've to decide what to do with my transfer value.
- Option of refund is not available (I was a member for more than 2 years).
- I neither have nor want a PRSA.
So the 2 options available to me are:
- transfer to current occupational scheme, or
- take out PRB.
Has anyone any comments on the pros and cons of one versus the other ? Or is it simply a case of a fund manager managing the fund, and picking one over the other is a matter of chance, in terms of likely performance ?
Thanks in advance.
